February 2015

By February, we were back into our normal routine which includes playing at the park around the corner often.  Both girls are getting very good at riding their bikes.

I had a little fun with the girls hair for Valentine's Day- they loved it.

We escaped work and took a weekend away to France!  We went just barely over the boarder to a town called Strasbourg.  It has a lot of WWII history fought between France and Germany.

THE FOOD IN FRANCE IS AMAZING!!!!  NOTHING IN COMPARISON!  SO GOOD!!!

We also took a little boat tour around the town.

Strasbourg has a Notre Dame Cathedral.  Bryson actually put together a 3D puzzle of a Notre Dame cathedral as a child, so he was excited to see one in person.

We found a local LDS church and was amazed at how beautiful the hymns sounded in french- it sounded like heavenly angels.

Even though these girls live around so much history, all they really care about is splashing in the puddles.

We made it back in time for a local Catholic festival called Fasching.  There are parades and candy for the kids- its similar to Mardi Grau (but child appropriate) leading up Ash Wednesday.
Madelyn was so tired, she fell asleep at the start of the parade.  Our neighbors had their stroller with them and let her sleep in there.
